The British Council is committed to ensuring the UK remains a first-choice study destination and to providing UK education institutions (e.g. schools, colleges, universities, English language providers) with support to strengthen their international strategies.
The British Council supports UK institutions with initiatives such as the market intelligence delivered through our Education Insight Hubs and by strengthening institutional and governmental partnerships through Going Global Partnerships. We engage directly with future, current and past international students who have studied in the UK through our Study UK campaign, GREAT scholarships and Alumni UK.
A key pillar of the British Council’s strategy to promote the UK as a premier international study destination is our work with education agents and counsellors. We have long recognised that education agents and counsellors have a critical role to play in how the UK engages and recruits international students. We are working closely with sector partners such as British Universities International Liaison Association (BUILA), The UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA), Universities UK International (UUKI) and English UK to create bespoke resources to support education agents, counsellors and institutions to deliver an outstanding student experience. You can access these resources and further information through the links below.
