After a period of stagnation between 2009/10 and 2016/17, the number of Turkish international students enrolled at UK HEIs has picked up considerably over recent years, against the backdrop of relatively sharp declines in mobility to the US. Beyond the current currency crisis, prospects for outbound mobility remain bright, due to favourable demographics and a robust economic growth outlook. While TNE provision in Turkey is a largely undeveloped market, given the restrictive regulatory environment in place.
